Shannondale, Aug. 4 --- William Voris Garner, 73, of near here, died at Witham hospital in Lebanon at 4:10 o’clock Sunday afternoon following an illness of one year’s duration with a complication of diseases.
Mr. Garner was born in Montgomery county on Oct. 24, 1866, a son of Elias and Susan McIntire Garner. He married Mary E. Higgs, Oct. 18, 1891.
Surviving are the widow, two sons, Jesse Garner, near Shannondale, and Paul Garner, Indianapolis; two brothers, Albert and Charles Garner, both of near Shannondale; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. A brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services have been tentatively set for 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at Shannondale with Rev. Cornelius Airhart in charge. Burial will be made in the Shannondale cemetery.
